Code of Conduct

Introduction

Student Transport Riders Association ('the Association') expects members of the Association to act lawfully, honestly, ethically, and with integrity at all times, and in every aspect of their involvement with the Association.

Scope

All employees, volunteers, and members, regardless of role, are bound by the Code of Conduct.

Following this code will help to protect members of the Association from inappropriate behaviour from fellow members and staff.

Code of Conduct

Upon joining the Association, and being a continued member, means that you agree to the following:

  • Members will treat everyone with respect & common courtesy, taking into account people's individual experiences and views.
  • Always act in an inclusive, and non-discrimatory manner towards all persons.
  • Act in honesty and integrity.
  • Uphold the vision and mission of the Association.
  • Follow all reasonable and lawful directions.
  • Be accountable for our own actions.

Breaches

Breaches of the Code of Conduct through any channel representing the Association (e.g. events, chatrooms, communications), can be reported to the Committee at committee@stra.org.au.

Such breaches will be investigated thoroughly, and may result in the member receiving a reprimand, or otherwise a suspension or termination of membership.

The STRA operates on the Country of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung and Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation and pays respect to First Peoples throughout the land we call Victoria and Australia. We acknowledge the unique impact of transport infrastructure on the native environment. Sovereignty was never ceded, this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
